Pay-For-Skills Programs

The MPACT® program started as part of Burlington Industries in 1983. For Burlington, it was, and still is, a pay-for-skills program, wherein employees can earn their way to higher pay levels. The program was phenomenally successful, surviving twenty years of financial difficulties by providing value in relevant training of maintenance principles. MPACT president Pete Little was instrumental in the development of the program, including all the policies and procedures. He now brings this experience to the industry by consulting on the development of pay-for-skills programs for many other companies — at zero net cost for consulting time.

Here's how this works: Pete will come to your plant and spend the necessary time to help your company develop policies, procedures, and curriculums tailored to meet your needs. Your company will pay for his time at his current rate, plus all travel expenses. After the program is developed, you will receive a 10% discount on all MPACT® courses until all fees, excluding travel expense, have been refunded to you. This approach means that if you use MPACT Learning Center as your training resource, the consulting costs you nothing. If you do not use us as your training resource, you still gain the benefit of Pete's experience at a reasonable rate.
