MPACT Learning Center New Courses Will Be Announced Soon
MPACT Schedule thru April
MPACT will be announcing a new series of classes within the next two weeks that will broaden our offerings considerably. Hint: they are already posted on our web site, along with our new schedule through the end of April.

In addition, we are pleased to announce that we will be offering AC Inverter Programming and Set-up for the first time April 19 - 21. This supplements our AC Inverter course with hands on programming and set-up of our new inverter trainers. For details, look for Course Offerings on our web site.

Note one change to the previously announced schedule: "Dr. Pump" will hold his class on April 6 and 7 rather than February 16 and 17.
Process Before STS Systematic Troubleshooting (STS)
Do you know how the cause of Legionnaire's Disease was found? By using the troubleshooting process taught in Systematic Troubleshooting!

Do you know how the cause of the space shuttle Challenger explosion was initially identified? By using the troubleshooting process taught in Systematic Troubleshooting!

Do you know how hundreds of plants and facilities find the cause of the problems that plague their critical equipment? By using the troubleshooting process taught in Systematic Troubleshooting!

Why aren't thousands of plants using this process? Well it may be thousands, but it's definitely not millions, because most people don't know, or don't believe, that troubleshooting can be taught. They're wrong, and graduates of MPACT's Systematic Troubleshooting course will testify to that fact.

What is that weird picture to the left? It's the "process" (or lack thereof) that a recent class used BEFORE they learned the STS process. You can't teach "random" - it's what we all do before we learn this process.

Most of you could save many times the cost of sending a two-person team to STS with just one or two instances of finding the cause of a problem before the downtime REALLY blows your budget.

There's still room in the class, starting January 24. Enroll online by clicking on the picture, or going to http://www.mpactlearning.com/
Pete Little Maintenance Management
In my (Pete Little) experience, Maintenance is the toughest function in industry to manage: Maintenance doesn't get called until something is screwed up; there's never enough time for PM (and always enough time to respond to breakdowns!); maintenance personnel are the smartest, orneriest, most independent workers you'll find (I say that with great affection), and they work on the roof, in the basement, and all over the plant. How do you manage a function like that?

Well, I've been doing it and teaching others how to do it since 1967. Come take this course and learn how to turn chaos into control.
Some of our customers On-site Training
Over the years, many customers have asked us about on-site training on their equipment. We've decided to start offering that as a service. No, we can't tell you intimate details about your equipment, but after all, a bearing or a relay or a PLC doesn't know what kind of machine it's on. We can use our knowledge and experience working with your personnel on your equipment - advising, affirming, adding depth, and correcting where necessary. Call Pete Little at 336-379-1444, extension 101 to discuss what we might do for you.

We're proud of our web site and love working with our site designers - Duckhouse Designs of Madison, WI.
