AC Inverter Programming and Set-up
Most companies' staffs do not fully understand or optimize the performance of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). This can be costing your company money that far exceeds the cost of training.

Our schedule through June includes a new course, AC Inverter Programming and Set-up, a 3-day, hands on lab class, beginning April 19.

We have taught a class called AC Inverters for a number of years, which delves into the electronics of inverters. This new class will be a practical look at variable frequency drives.

Students completing this course will understand how to program the VFDs in their operations. The concepts learned will apply to units from any inverter manufacturer.

The course covers the use of VFDs and the set up of drive parameters. Following discussions of how an inverter affects the many motor options available to the user, students are guided through step-by-step, hands-on exercise procedures in the lab. Subjects covered include: basic AC motor construction, variable frequency drives, and their applications.

Prerequisites: A thorough understanding of basic electronics and solid state devices.

Lab Equipment: ABB inverter trainers.

Cost per Student: $775 - State funds and grants are available to help with this cost. Call Joel Leonard for more details at 336-379-1444, extension 102.
