National Public Radio visits the MPACT Learning Center
NPR sent a feature editor to the Value Added Maintenance workshop October 2, 2003. He interviewed Pete Little and a number of others about the crisis facing maintenance, and is planning on airing the feature on Marketplace Edition in the near future. We will advise you when the article is scheduled.

In addition, Pete Little was a keynote speaker on the Processing Technology Expo ‘03 “webinar”. His topic was “Taking Advantage of Downtime” – a standard part of his Maintenance Management seminar. While this recorded session is still on the web, you may log in at http://www.processingtechnologyexpo.com. It’s in the Food Processing Pavilion, titled, “Opportunities for Maintenance Proficiency in Food Manufacturing”.

 PulsePointe Technologies working with MPACT®
PulsePointe Technologies, with President Joel Leonard, is now working with MPACT® to get a vital message out: maintenance is in crisis as the workforce is cut by those who do not realize the long term consequences of skimping on this critical function. Nor do they realize the danger of using inadequately trained personnel on expensive, sophisticated equipment – something no executive would do with an $80,000 automobile. The Value Added Maintenance workshop addresses this issue – see the schedule.

Systematic Troubleshooting [STS]: Reduce downtime by solving problems quickly - pay for this seminar many times over.

Are your "fixers" really “breakers”? We heard a Plant Manager say recently, "I don't need predictive maintenance. When I drive in the parking lot in the morning, I can predict something major will break before I leave at the end of the day."

None of us want "parts replacers" - we want skilled troubleshooters who zero in on the problem with a rifle, not a shotgun. This course teaches a logical approach that enables troubleshooters to solve problems in far less time - the first time. A recent attendee, a technician from a paper company, said, "I didn't think troubleshooting could be taught - you either had it or you didn't. I was wrong." STS scheduled February 4 - 6 - $875.

Value Added Maintenance [VAM]: Better defend your job!

When the typical corporate mantra today is, “do more with less” [until you do everything with nothing], this course is designed to help you understand your corporate culture and defend your headcount and budget. VAM scheduled December 3, January 7, February 3, March 3 - $300

Maintenance Management, April 6 - 9 - $990 How to change maintenance chaos into maintenance control.

Maintenance Planning, May 4 - 7 - $990
