Our Staff

Our instructors are not Ivy League professors with bow ties. We are experienced maintenance professionals, with a minimum of twenty and up to forty years' experience. We relate very well to our students and they to us. Our full-time instructors teach four weeks out of five. On their "off" weeks, they visit customer plants and consult with plant managers and maintenance technicians on-site, keeping intimately involved with the industry.

Pete Little, President: Pete has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University and over forty years experience in maintenance, engineering, and manufacturing management. He has installed maintenance management programs in well over 100 plants. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and was one of the original developers of the MPACT® program. He has been with MPACT since its beginning in 1983, and teaches Maintenance Management, Systematic Troubleshooting, and Maintenance Planning. He also is available to assist with the development of a pay-for-skills program.

Randy Jones (full-time): Randy earned a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology from Appalachian State University, taught electronics in the public schools, and served in the US Navy before joining MPACT®. He has been the electronic instructor since 1987.

Chuck Mosteller (full-time): Chuck retired after seventeen years in the US Navy, where he spent much of his time as an instructor after receiving training up to the level of nuclear power school. He has extensive experience in maintenance, and joined MPACT® in 1995.

Joel Leonard: Joel is a graduate of Elon University. With over fifteen years experience in the maintenance field, he has installed hundreds of computerized maintenance management systems and has spoken at many maintenance conferences. Joel is past National Vice President of Membership of the Association for Facilities Engineering.

Oscar Everitte: Oscar has an Electrical Engineering degree from North Carolina State University, is a Registered Professional Engineer, and is a licensed electrician. He has spent most of his career as a Plant Engineer or Division Engineer for Burlington Industries. He has taught for MPACT® since 1983.

Rich Carpenter: As principal consultant of SRC Associates, Rich Carpenter has worked throughout North America with a variety of Fortune 500 organizations. He has also presented management workshops at multiple universities. He is the developer of the Systematic Troubleshooting course used by MPACT®.
